5. How to Create Keyword Triggered Messages in Text-Calibur
Welcome to the Text-Calibur training guide. In this guide we will introduce you to everything you need to know to complete your first send. Topics that we will cover include how to make a campaign, how to add subscribers to a campaign, creating keywords, adding ‘trigger’ messages to your feeds and how to send a ‘message blast’.
How to Create Keyword Triggered Messages in Text-Calibur
The next step in a successful send is setting up your Keyword Triggered Messages. These are delayed messages that will be delivered after your initial message and response if the Lead responds with your Keyword. These messages generally contain an additional offer that was not included in your initial message. This is a good way to increase your conversion rate.
- Click SMS Alerts under the Triggers section on the Menu to the left of your Dashboard.
- Click Add to get started
- Select a Title for this response. The Title will only be visible to you.

- Create your First Trigger Message. This message will be sent once a Lead has responded with the Keyword(s) you choose in the next step.
- You can use the Tokens: [name], [email], [url], [city], [state], and [lead_id]
- These allow you to create more personalized messages by referencing the Lead by [name], or mentioning their [city] / [state] (where relevant)
- Example: Hey [name], interested in deals around [state]? What about deals right in [city]?
- If any Tokens are left blank when uploading the Lead the message will leave the Token space Blank.
- Create your First Trigger Message. This message will be sent once a Lead has responded with the Keyword(s) you choose in the next step.
- Only Leads that have responded with the correct Keyword will get this message.
- Only people who respond with your keyword will get this message
